ONTARIO ELECTRICITY SUPPORT PROGRAM

What is it?

Homeowners, or renters who pay their electricity bill directly to the utility (not through rent to a landlord), may qualify for a reduction on their electricity bill. The amount of the reduction depends on two factors:

• the number of people living in the household, and
• the household’s combined after-tax annual income.

The amounts are more if the home is electrically heated.
